Focus of BacTreat Environmental Solutions LLP is on decentralized systems both for wastewater treatment and solid organic waste treatment. Approach for Decentralized wastewater treatment system is by vertical wetlands wherein we had installed for a single household, for a community (100 people equivalent) and also for a school in Goa.

We also had established Faecal sludge management plant wherein everyday one septic tanker (8000L) of septage is treated by recovering nutrients from Septage. Septage solids are processed in a two step process namely Lactic acid fermentation followed by Vermicomposting to prepare a type of compost called as Terra Preta. Terra Preta is much better than compost that is available as it retains nutrients for a longer period and releases nutrients to plants slowly.

Organic solid waste is managed by anaerobic digestion. Anaerobic digestion of organic waste produces biogas and biofertilizers. We had installed one ton of food waste per day processing anaerobic digestor as well as we are installing a food waste plus septage based anaerobic digestor. The digestate from biogas digestors are converted into Phsophate rich organic manure (PROM).

Apart from the above we also provide bacterial cultures for specific requirements and also establish effluent treatment plants.
